Welcome to Lidsville….the east side of the bridge..gateway to Nickel Beach and the infamous nickel Plant [INCO].

The South Coast… the NorthShore……South Niagara….all terms used in describing this part of southern Ontario that stretches from the Buffalo border at the Niagara River to the boundary of Haldimand County.

Summer beach towns….abandoned industry towns……toxic brownfields and pristine beaches…multi million dollar lake front cottages and yet the highest poverty rate in the province…….boil water advisories yet no eco solutions, only the BIG PIPE

But this is where we live and work……recent transplants from the big city…..looking for that better life…..that slower pace

We think we’ve found it and we’re bound to write about it and photograph it and post it here for your perusal and comment
